I was momentarily on the phone with my boyfriend, when I heard someone pick up the phone and dial a little girl and her father were heard having a conversation about candles. I could not hear my boyfriend anymore expect for the child and father conversation. When I tried to talk into my phone it would not work, my boyfriend although could hear me saying "Hello, hello"... This is not the first time this has happened. I find ity creepy... and wonder if people can do this to my phone conversations; what can I do?

  1. It happens.  My neighbor behind me was on.  I did not know it was her at thet time.  I was afraid to say anything.  It happened for years with other people that moved in and out of there.  Finally our phones would ring at odd times.  I finally cut in and asked who it was and she told me and we found out we had the same problem with the ringing.

I called our telephone company because I knew we did not have a"party line"  they dont have those anymore.  They got investigating and found some wires were spliced funny in our phone box in the back yard.  No problem since.  Call the phone company and if you get a run around, talk to the person on the other end to try to convince them of this problem.

  2. I bet you're using still a 900MHz phone.....!

get the DECT6.0 with build-in firewall/router.....and it will never happen again!!

  3. Depends what type of phone you have. If it's cordless, it's because of the frequency.

  4. If you're using a cordless, change the channel you're using.  If you're using a corded phone or it keeps happening, upgrade to a newer phone on the 5.8 ghz spectrum using the newer technology (dect or something like that).  I'm not sure what else you could do, I use only my cell phone.
