Phone problems...?

Question

Since probably Saturday, my home phone hasn't been working properly. I can only occasionally get a dial tone, and when people ring, they either can't get through orit only sort of half-rings - and quiter than normal. Any suggestions? Thanks

if it rained, could be wet phone lines, you could also have a bad network interface. call your telco.

There may be a problem with your telephone line, instantly contact your servic provider, they will probably check the connection and also check it from your nearest exchange..

Definately sounds like a line problem. Contact your service provider and get them to send out an engineer to check the cabling to your house.

Before you make the call, have you tried another phone in the socket, just in case it's faulty?
