Phone tracing.?

i found a number in someones phone, is there a way i can get the name of the persons whose phone it is for free?

just enter the number into  google's main page search box = ( area code) - 321- 7654

I recently found out that my phone number was listed on google search, so I used the opt out function, since I want to have some privacy.

That would be illegal in the UK and id assume its the same in the US and other countries (where ever people have some rights over their privacy)... you could always just phone the number from a phone box and try and probe them for information though.

edit: ignore me - apparently its legal in the US...
