Phones on contract, can you send them back and choose a different phone if you are unhappy...?

with the one you ordered? i ordered a phone from orange online last night, but now im having doubts and want to choose a different one i like.. when it comes and if im unhappy with it can i send it back and choose a different phone? thanks

  1. Most companies will allow you to send it back within the first 14 days, provided it is in pretty much the same condition as when you received it.

    Under Distance Selling Regulations you can send it back if you change your mind, but NOT if you have used the phone.  


  2. most carriers give you a 30 grace period to decide if you like the phone or not, but all carriers are different. Contact orange, & see what their policy is!!!!!  

  3. Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations you can change your mind within 7 days.

  4. Yes, simply contact them and tell them you think you have made a mistake when ordering. tel them you meant to order the phone you actually want, instead of the one you have ordered.

    If they refuse to change it, do not accept it when it arrives. Simply send it back.

    You have consumer rights.

    You could even keep it for upto 7 days before returning it, they would still have to cancel your contract as you have a cooling off period.
