Phones services to use in army?

Okay so my husband is in the army and he got stationed in germany and is being deployed to iraq, we have at&t right now and they have charged us 800 dollars and more on our last 2 phone bills and we cant afford this, does anybody have any other advice on what phone company we can use that will keep our bill down cause i will be in georgia and i have to be able to talk to him! Please any help would be appreciated.......

  1. Your best bet would be to use a morale once a week for him to call you if you live close enough to a military installation (no long distance). Your next best bet would for both of you to use something like Skype. A computer to computer call is free, and his computer to your phone would be around 3 cents/minute. I used these combinations while deployed, and spent less than $20/month in phone bills, while talking to my wife every day.


  2. I suggest a PrePaid Phone Card...AT&T

    Can get them through Afees...

    Cheapest around and you can order over

    the computer and send directly to him.

    Best get use to not talking allot...

    I Send them to a lot of Troops...
