i was wondering how to put together several photos to make someting like this!

nice example,

photo composite of time lapse stills, you can edit together as photos, or use parts of video or screen captures from video, then place each image shot in separate  layers, then from each layer except bottom layer or background, you would erase around object in motion, allowing all points to be visible through the layers, you can adjust transparency of each layer to see where next image aligns, some refer images as multiplicity when using same person in a room at different placements,
