Photo editing programs?

what are some free photo editing programs that are like photoshop and can do a lot of editing with them

GIMP is an excellent choice. It is comparable to Photoshop and completely free.

If you're looking for something a little more light-weight, Paint .NET is a good choice.

Along with Photoshop, I use Paint Shop Pro and Picture Window Pro.

Paint Shop Pro is WAY better than adobe trust me! : )
