Photo editor for collage making on computer?

I asked this question a million times and still haven't gotten a good answer. Can someone recommend a free program that will allow me to put together the pictures I have saved on my computer to make a collage? Not Gimp, not paint, and not photoshop.

Excuse my ignorance but here are your choices.

Gimp is the only free software that is close to Photoshop/

Photoshop CS happens to be the Industry leader and is a Professional software that is used by 95% of the major design, and Photo Companies.

Paint, and Paintshop Pro are also fair programs

I am not sure what you expect to find for free.

Remembering that these companies are not in buisness to give away a program that takes years to develop.

Adobe did once apon a time. 10 tears ago give a program away with every Printer, and scanner sold it may be hard to find it now and I doubt it will even work with Vista, it does work with XP, and it is Adobe Photo Deluxe

very rare to find a photo editing in thats free, unless it comes with your os.

but if you really need a simple (better than paint but more simple than adobe photoshop) then try Macromedia Fireworks...

Theres a free trial that you can use to make your collage...

Its good esp. if you dont make collages everyday,

but if you do, then its worth paying for it isnt it?
