Photo editor program?

what photo editing program can i download for free and lets me do lots of stuff with my pictures?

like how people do with their site model pics.

A simple image editing program and all around versatile media program is IrfanView.  (Link in source.)  I've used it for years for image conversions (bmp to jpg), image cropping, resizing, and my favorite.. batch processing.  Check out the site and see if it fits your needs.  (FREE)

There's also GIMP which is an Adobe Photoshop level program for image manipulation.  Tons of online help.  Link below.  (FREE)

Picasa is a nice tool for organizing and distributing your pics.  Link also included. (FREE)

A very good Photo-Editing software available is Adobe PhotoShop, but only a 30-day trial for PhotoShop is available for free. To try it out go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads

A free alternative to PhotoShop is GIMP. While it is as powerful as PhotoShop, it's a bit harder to use. If you can't get your head around it, check some tutorials on YouTube:
