  1. you can go to a photographer to have a passport picture taken, although that is much more expensive than the photo booth.

the booth is simple, they have instructions for you, and you have a few chances to take the perfect picture of yourself. why not take a friend with you to help you out?

  2. If it is for a UK passport, go to a photo dealer who has the facility, do not use a photo-me type booth. There are very strict rules now for passport photos, such as you cannot wear white tops against a light background, and you cannot show teeth in a smile. A proper photo shop will know these rules, and get it right first time. My daughter bypassed this and used a photo booth. The passport office rejected the photos, and by the time she'd got it right, she'd spent much more than if she'd done what I suggested. I am a photographer, but I always go to my local dealer, and pay about £5 for a set of four passport photos. If he doesn't think the first set is right, he takes another set until it's right, but I only pay for the finished set.

  3. The United States Passport Office will not allow you to use photos from a photo booth.

Either go to a photographer who knows how to do passport photos and have the equipment. Or, go to someplace like Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy or OSCO and the like that do 1 hour photo processing. They are all set up with equipment for passport photos, security guard photos, etc.

And its cheap from those places, usually around 8 dollars for 2 passport photos.

Remember, the passport office will not use photo booth photos. They will want to see the stuff that comes with the passport photos that were taken in the package the photo place provides.

  4. For a photo booth you do it yourself. Its extremely simple. Once your inside it, there will be instructions on the screen. They will tell you how to adjust your seat to the right height, align your face with the camera etc. It should take you less than a minute to have the photo taken and if you don't like it you can retake it for free. Once your happy with the photo you select for it to be printed and it should take about a minute to develop.

If you want to have it done somewhere that a human will serve you, there are shops on most high streets where you go to buy camera and get photos developed. It will cost you slightly more but they take the photo themselves.

Trust me, photo booths are much cheaper and so easy. Hope you found this helpful ;)

  5. Do it at the post office

  6. You just get in the machine, sit down and put some money in.  Most modern machines are digital and will let you preview the photo before it is printed.

  7. aw bless! Photo booths are very easy to use, just follow the instructions. If you need human help, go to somewhere like Snappy Snaps or a chemist, they will help!
