  1. that actually is a really good question.

i'm also having struggles starting on that also.

i found the best thing to do is to trying to find a photographer near you who will do a photo-shoot with you for a reasonable compensation.

there are places that do it, but most of the times they charge around 250 to 300 dollars per hour/session and i personally don't have that kind of money to spend.

you can go on sites like one model place or model mayhem and search for photographers.

oh p.s. most photographers prefer you to be 18 because of legal/liability issues :]

  2. Most professional photographers can be located in the phone book, I have seen many senior, wedding and engagement photos which I would call professional done by the average photographer at the studio, or outdoors near the studio.

  3. glamour shots

  4. You look at portfolios you think are good and ask who the photographer is. Then you make a booking to have your pictures done.

It is important to make sure you get the photographer whose pics you liked and not just another photographer working for the same company.

  5. Glamourshots.  It's a "mall-based studio", as they call it.

You bring your own outfits, but they do your makeup and have professionals taking photos that you can purchase.

  6. You might be lucky, some photographers (especially ones just starting out) are willing to do work on a TFP or TFCD basis.

TFP means you allow the photographer to use the photos they take to put in their portfolio, and in return you will get Prints free of charge.

TFCD just means that the photographer will give you the photos on a CD. TF stands for Time For.... i.e.- your time!

Try looking for adverts, or just ask any photographer local to you. Of course, its always a good idea to get a friend to accompany you - be careful & good luck!

  7. i won a make over from a competition and had photo shoot's but i did have to pay for the photo's and they are very expensive, but they are worth it. studio 64, in london they also have a website u could look at.

    http://www.studio64.com

    good luck!

  8. Look up photography agencies in you area and give them a call. They probably charge a lot though! Ask some of your friends if they are good at taking pictures, sometimes these can turn out better than a professional! Friends seem to know you so much better, and sometimes they know what will suit you better!
