  1. What you need is the lasso tool. This is I believe the third tool down right under the selection tool. It looks like a small lasso and comes in three diffferent choices, the lasso tool, the polygon lasso, and the magnetic lasso. Choose one:

The lasso (the round one) - lets you simply draw your selection. Draw around the object and it will be selected as soon as you finish at your start point.

The polygon lasso (the one with sharp edges)- will work in a connect the dots type of way. You simply click around the image and itt creates lines between the clicks. Again it closes the selection when you make the last click at the starting point.

The magnetic lasso (lasso with a magnet on it) - This one will actually stick to sharplines or lines with lots of contrast between colors. For example if the image is black and there is a white background, then you can drag the magnetic lasso around it and it will stick to the black outline because the white is seperating it.

Once you select the one best for the job select the image you want and then there are two ways to isolate them

1: copy or cut, open a new document and paste.

2: go to the top menubars and go to select>select inverse . This will select everything exept what is already selected...once that happens the background is what is selected and not the image. From here just click backspace or delete and it will get rid of the background!

    hope that helped!

  2. its the wand icon.

i think is the magic wand icon or something. cannot remember. select the area you want and press delete. you can right click on the wand icon to try out the other wands to see which fits you more

  3. When u will open any image just press (c) u will get crop tool choose the part of ur image and take any tool it will give u a option crop or not press crop then u will get your part of image clearly.

  4. My favorite way to accomplish this is using the extract tool. It is located under the Filter Menu. This tool allows for very precise control over what gets "chopped" and what stays.

You use the highlighter to go around the areas you want to keep, then you use the fill to fill in the areas, click preview to see it before you click "Ok". You can even go back in and crop out or add in stuff you need or don't want.

    Hope this helps!
