Photo shop paste one image in another

Hello,

I'm pretty new to Photo shop and i'd like to know how to paste one image into another one, so i can make a banner..

And how do i change the format from PSD to something like Bmp?

open the image.

copy any picture you want to paste to the image. this could be off the web or from the computer, just right click on it and select copy.

go back to the original image. open the layers dialog if its not already open, and press the Ctrl and V keys at the same time.

there you have your two images!

if you want to make it just one layer, flatten the image or merge the top layer down. to move any of the layers, select the move tool and move the SELECTED layer. to resize a layer, go to layer> resize layer.

for the other question,

go to file> save as. a window will pop up so just click on select different file type (or something similar to that) and select whatever file type you want to save it as.
