i have about 3 gb of photos with couple of mb of video what disc do i store them to

A 4.7Gb. DVD R should be enough for storing your Photos and Video.

Be sure that your DVD device is capable of reading Multi Double Layer Disk.

Burn it on a dvd disc if you have a dvd burner.  DVD-R works great

One tip though: I work with a lot of graphics that I also back up to DVD and keep a library of. I&#039;ve learned to make 2 backups of each (1 copy). Sometimes in rare cases something can go wrong with the original DVD and then it&#039;s good to have a second copy. Trust me, this practice has saved me numerous times in the past.

DVD-R or DVD+R if you&#039;ve got a DVD writer, that much will fit on one disc. Then you can also make back-up copies.

It would take about 5 CD-Rs to store that much.

Hello,

Like most of the answers already here, you can burn the files you have onto a black DVD R/W disk. To do this you can either use the free alternatives which are Windows Media Player (built into Windows) or iTunes. If you wish to invest in burning software, go for NERO.

However, if your not &quot;Computer Savy&quot; you can simply upload the files to a file host on the internet. Popular ones are below:

You will just need to click &quot;Browse&quot;, locate your files, then select &quot;upload&quot;. You can then specify your Email address for the links to be sent to. That way, when you want the files again, you will just need to paste the download links into your browser address bar, and follow the download instructions.

Photobucket is the leading photo host. You will simply need to register then you can upload an unlimited amount of images that will be stored for as long as need be. An additional advantage of using Photobucket over other Photo host websites, if that you can actually edit your pictures online!
