Photography and camera?

which camera make and model is good for photography ?

and not to pricey ! :-P

Photography implies using a fully adjustable camera .. not a P&S, like a good used 35 mm Nikon or Canon SLR with a standard zoom lens for under $150 on craigslist.

That said the best way to learn how to use one is to attend a class in photography and learn how to compose, expose, develop and print your work ... then you may want to look into buying a DSLR

I just recently bought a Nikon D40 DSLR and like it.  But it was a little over $400.  A good regular 35mm film SLR is a great choice as well.  I have several I still use.  You should be able to find a good used one for around $100 or less.  I picked up a Pentax K1000 with three lens and flash for $15 at a thrift store recently.  Work perfectly.  If you go traditional film camera Nikon, Pentax, Canon, and Minolta all have models that are good.  They also produced some junk as well.  A Nikon EM is a good starter and I've seen them go for under $30.
