Photography at Mid-Ohio SuperBike race (Supersport & Superstock)?

I am attending this coming weekends Mid-Ohio Sport Bike race and was curious about the best places at Mid-Ohio to get the best shots, and any advice you might have. I will just have a regular ticket, so I do not have a special Photographers Pass. locations around the track without fencing in the way is very important. Thanks! They are calling this the Honda Super Cycle Weekend. Supersport and Superstock championships

  1. We usually go to Mid-Ohio for the super bike races and vintage motorcycle days.  Unfortunately this year circumstances beyond our control made the trips impossible.

    One good spot for photography is at the base of the first walk-over bridge, I think it's the honda bridge.  That's a spot where you can stand and have an unobstructed view.  You'll know you found the spot b/c there are usually many other people taking pix there. Any of the observation mounds offer some good photos, assuming you've got enough lense.  The one just before the walk over bridge, overlooking the esses has some good angles.  ALso, very important, hope your camera is quick, b/c the bikes sure are, and difficult to catch in frame unless you've got some speed.  If you've never been, you will most likely have a great time.  I love this track and the atmosphere around it.
