i've just started on photography and am looking for a photoshop program/cd that lets you change the background to something else or helps enhances facial features... here are some webpages for examples:

dont be frustrated if you cant get it the first time it takes practice and a good understanding of photoshop. its best if you start off with a really simple image and work up from there.

  3. i think any photoshop can do it. its just how you select or cut the picture that important. for example you can use magic wand or magnetic lasso to  select the picture if the picture is contrast with the background. email me for any tips on selecting picture to place it elsewhere

  4. I agree. photoshop CS2 is awesome.

  5. Photoshop is definitely the way to go. Are you currently a student? If not, I would recommend enrolling in a class somewhere, as the education discount for Adobe products is definitely worth it.

Photoshop CS3 extended is normally $999, with the education discout it is $299.

If you can afford it, I would also recommend getting the whole CS3 creative suite, as the layout program InDesign is great if you are planning on getting your photos made into any kind of printed product.
