Photoshop CS3 Please HELP

Photoshop cs3 gone wrong! HELP

I have been using it all day and its been fine! Until just now I have lost the ability to resize shapes and layers. Usually when I click on the objec...shape...or layer, it gives me corners to resize it ( if i have the selection tool selected) Now, all of a suddon its gone. I have restarted photoshop 2 times, and shut down the computer 2 times. I have opened several different files to make sure the problem wasnt with the one file that i was working on.

Do you know what happened and how I can get it back? Im handicap without it.

I think this might be it:

With your selection tool … selected, on the top-left of your screen there's a little box that allows to check or uncheck "Show Transform Controls". Maybe you've turned this off?

Feel free to post a screenshot of your PS and I could probably find the problem.
