You don't need to watch the whole video just the first 20 seconds..See how the background is blue and has those glowing white lines instead of the normal grey background?

I wanna know how you can do that.

  1. What you talking about is the background of photoshop. This only happens on a apple mac computer. You are using a windows pc and it is not possible unless you resize the window, even then you wont get the same effect as your menu's will all be out of place. The blue background you speak of is that persons computers wallpaper. So in summary, theres no way to make it as nice and functional as it is on the mac's, leave it alone!

EDIT: Hmmm, if you can find a tutorial on windows with the background showing link me, but im pretty sure its a mac thing. My reasoning for this is ive had CS, CS2 and CS3 all on pc, all with a grey background, my brother has had them all on mac with a see-through background. You know at the top of photoshop where it has file, edit and all the different drop down menu's, if there was no background box that wouldnt exist. Those drop down menus are required as like 80% of photoshops functions run from there. On a mac, those tabs are at the top of the screen, just like in all programs on a mac, they have the apple, then edit and so forth, thats why mac's photoshop doesnt require a background. Also i find it highly unlikely that any photoshop tutorials are dont on a PC as mac is the professional tool for design and no one in the industrie, and i mean no one, has a PC for professional design. But feel free to prove me wrong, id like to know how to do it if it is possible!

  2. No fair, I was happy with the grey background till I saw that. I want it! Dont know about you but I hate the crappy grey layout of Photoshop, Ive got Elements  4 as well  and its a nice cream color.
