Photoshop Help???????

On a coloring tutorial it said "Block in colors for each section with a hardbrush"

Can anyone explain?

P.S: I know what a hard brush is I just don't know about the block part.

  1. Blocking in is often about the same as roughing in: you aren't trying for precision, just covering most of the area you want to cover with the color. It's a method used to quickly add color, worrying about detail work later. Standard art technique. =)
