Photoshop help please! :)

Question

Hello.

Look at the images provided by the links below.

They all have the same watery effect, and have been edited to look like that.

The pictures I am starting with are photo real, and I want them to have the strange painted effect that these have...(not the comic bubbles and frame). I want the non-photo real look.

Nothing in the liquify gallery gives the same effect, and I really want to use it on my next piece of work.

Any links or guides or tips is greatly appreciated.

Hmm. You should definitely play around with the selective coloring a bit, and the watery effect, I don't quite understand what you mean, but try some textures maybe?

And for the 'painted effect' you could try one of the artistic filters after duplicating a layer, and experiment with opacity and blending modes.

You could also lower the full opacity/contrast/brightness/saturation, et cetera. Sorry I can't help you more, and I can't guarantee these will work.

Try using the filters provided in photoshop.  Specifically, try playing around with the Watercolor and Posterize filters.
