Photoshop making a design cover a whole shirt?

Ok this would probably be the last thing i need to know about photshop and desgins....but how would i get a logo or design to cover a whole T-Shirt? while im making designs on photoshop....the canvas looks like the designs will only cover a small section of a shirt. I want to take my designs to a print shop....but how do i make a design cover the whole shirt?

what you need to do is measure the area of the shirt you want to cover. Then, in photoshop, go to the top bar, click image, then resize, then canvas size. Make your canvas size match you measurements. It will be in inches. This will make the canvas the same size as the space you want to fill on the shirt. If the canvas is full in photoshop then the shirt will be full. Tell the print shop you want it printed to the size it is, and then tell them the measurements.

Try putting the shirt and the design on different layers.
