1. 1. Make a copy of the original picture by dragging the background layer to the new layer icon on the right corner.

    2. Now make another new layer.

    3. Where the new layer says 'normal' drag it down to color.

    4. Take a brush and start running over the places you want to color, like blue for pants. (If the color is too bright right next to the 'normal' or 'color' it says opacity, bring that down from 100%)

    5. Keep doing this for each independent item. Ex: Jeans, shirt, hair, eyes.

The changing the color of a dress you can do by using the lasso tool, then going to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation

  2. Use the pen tool and follow the edges of the dress that you want to color. End the pen path by clicking on the first dot made.

On the top bar click "Window", then click "Paths".

When path menu opens up, click the dotted circle at the bottom of that menu.

Now your selection should be selected, looking like marching ants.

    Close paths.

Change the foreground color, and choose the paintbucket icon.

    Paint inside the selection area.
