  1. The photons drive the electron transport chain which produces ATP and NADPH. These are used in the calvin-benson cycle to fix CO2.

    D is the answer.

  2. A

  3. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants use the energy of sunlight and simple chemicals to produce their own food.

    Okay, it takes A LOT of different things and functions to perform photosynthesis, too many to put down here. lol

    The chemical equation for photosynthesis is:

    6CO2 + 6H2O -> C6H12O6 + 6O2

    So, basically the organism takes in 6 carbon dioxide molecules and 6 water molecules and produce 1 glucose molecule and 6 oxygen molecules. Okay, thats great...but you can't just take CO2 and H2O and mix it together and form glucose... how do you get the molecules to interact?  You need energy.  Where does the organism receive that energy?  From sunlight.

    Figure out your answer.
