  1. "Do to others what you wish to happen to you"

Please do not take that phrase the wrong way! Everyone I've said that to has cracked up laughing(because they have sick peverted minds)

  2. The phrase actually goes with a story I heard:

"A young monk and an older monk are walking through the forest one day. The monks spot a beautiful young lady with her leg stuck and injured in a trap. The older monk leaps to the lady, frees her leg, and picks her up in his strong arms and carrys her to a local village, where he puts her down to see the doctor.

"The two monks continue on their path to the temple like nothing has happened, but the younger monk cannot contain himself anymore. 'Master!' speaks the young monk 'I cannot stand here and act like nothing has happened anymore! We are monks and should not interact with women, let alone carry them as you have so elegantly'

(here comes the phrase) "The older monk looked at the younger one and said, "I let the woman go back at the village. Have you let her go yet?'"

That's not exactly how the story goes, but it's something like that. What he means is that once something is done, it is done. Nothing can change it and we shouldn't let ourselves get upset over it.

But I also like Innocent Bliss's phrase too.
