  1. I believe that the economic will explore too and I'm also afraid of the destroy of the beauty as just see in the other country, the economic is the first priority and they do every things to develop it includes of destroy nutural beauty. And when the beauty was destroyed, the economic is better, they will think back to protect the nuture.

It's a stupid cycle and no one can avoid - so pitty!!

  2. I've only recently began to know about Phu Quoc Island. My wife and I are considering going there for our honeymoon when I come to Vietnam next.

In my opinion, I think the economy there is definitely going to explode. The place has been a quiet fishing community forever with tourism recently taking interest there. The trade off is going to be at least some of the ecology. It can't be helped that with more people visiting will come more devastation to the natural beauty.

On the other hand, Vietnam and Southeast Asia's environment has a way of taking back to nature what humans had taken away before. The ancient Cham society lived in South Vietnam before the Vietnamese, and there are very few things left to be seen of their society now. Many of the scars from the Vietnam War are beginning to heal after only 30 years.

Mother Nature will take over after the island resorts foreclose - as it has many times before in that region of the world.
