Hi, is it safe to go to phuket now since the political protest? Will it happen again? I had already booked my flight and hotel next week.

  1. Don't bother coming, you may be stuck at the airport in Phuket.  The airport has reopened, but the protest group has announced that they may close the airport again at any time.  Not worth it.


  2. The protest is not in Phuket. Go and enjoy yourself. I assume you are arriving in Bangkok. If you are worried, take a flight from Bangkok to Phuket; that way you don't have to leave the airport. The distances are vast. You will enjoy Phuket.
