Physic powers.....real?

Question

is anyone here a phsychic? I'm being serious.

i want to know if there is such a thing. And if so can you prove it by telling me something about me only i would know?

I don't use the phrase "psychic powers", I say "psychic abilities".  Psychic talents are natural abilities just like singing, or dancing. Most of us have some level of psychic ability... just as most of us can sing (there's a saying, "if you can talk, you can sing"), although we may not be able to do it well.

Iindividuals with direct experience with of psychic abilities recognize their existance, but can't "prove" it to others since most talents can't reproduce it reliably under laboratory conditions. (And, of course it doesn't help that fakes and performers have been pretending to have "psychic powers" when they didn't for pretty much the entire length of recorded history.)

Can I "prove" that I have psychic talent by telling you something only you would know?  Nope.  I'm not clairvoyent, I'm empathic... which means my own psychic talent is to have a higher sensitivity to other people's feelings than most people have.  So asking me to use clairvoyance is like asking a piano player to prove that they're a musician by playing the tuba. :)

And even if you were here in front of me so that I could utilize my particular talent, there's a good chance that your own skeptical bias would make you predisposed to any evidence I might offer.  But that's no big deal.  I no more require that you "believe" in my psychic talents than that you believe that my grandmother had white hair.  *I* know that she did, and that's all that really matters. :)

At some point you may have experience of your own psychic talents.  And when that happens... we'll you get to decide for yourself how you'll interpret it.

Everyone is born with psychic capabilities, some more so than others. Keep in mind it is NOT like in movies and such. You can't tell something personal about a person (except on rare occasions ( ;) it just doesn't work like that. It's a subtle thing. You might predict someone you love is going to get hurt, you may even know who, but, it's a different matter to know exactly what's going to happen to them. That takes a much higher ability.
