A wheel of radius 0.20 m is mounted on a frictionless horizontal axis. A massless cord is wrapped around the wheel and attached to a 2.0 kg object that slides on a frictionless surface inclined at an angle of 20 degree with the horizontal. The object accelerates down the incline at 2.0 m/s^2. What is the rotational inertia of the wheel about its axis of rotation?

  1. My answer would be 1.

you say it is frictionless. so the object will be moving with no end at a constant speed. I am sure that objects will continue moving at a constant speed in the absence of outside force.

  2. I=mr^2/2
