  1. Marciano is the stronger of the two for sure, i think a young Ali was too lanky to manhandle someone as tough as Marciano around the ring.

  2. Do you seriously ask these questions and think that any one person here can change your opinion? You ask questions, which are usually very good and then you give you reason for asking them when you already have the answers.

Any one who knows anything about boxing would write to you that Marciano had the advantage in sheer physical strength, except for the few people who disagree and those would be the people who who think that they know boxing.

I did not mean to offend and if I have done so, I apologize. The reason why I wrote what I did is, you always seem to be complete in your questions, you seem to answer your own questions with great insight, only a person with little or no boxing sense could or would argue their point.

  3. i would say they were both well conditioned guys id give the edge to ali why he was bigger marciano was a smaller heavyweight think about the advantage ali 210- 220 lbs marciano 185-190 lbs the bigger man would have the advantage tied up as far as punching power marciano hit harder then ali he had very strong back arm and leg muscles but so did ali ali looked lanky but he was 6 ft 3  210-220 lbs most of his career he was between 216-220 lbs marciano 5 ft 10 185-190 lbs usually fighting at 185 lbs ali got descent strength as well as more weight

  4. Marciano though a smaller man, was one of the strongest heavyweights in boxing history.  Ali was also very strong physically and was well known for being able to push opponents off of him when they tried to come inside.  As far as just pure strength goes, I believe that Marciano was the stronger man.  I don't believe that Ali would have been able to manhandle Marciano as he did some opponents.

  5. i agree with toughguy.. i love most questions that you post by the way, i only wish us gals could have watched boxing 2gether back in the 90's.. i remember having to watch boxing alone as a teenager, ironically none of the boys/men in my house was interested in boxing. (though they loved wrestling) now i live alone and still have to watch fights by myself! blah.. i'm bored and rambling, sorry..  so, i really don't see Ali  "Manhandling" Marciano in the ring though Rocky was only about 185 pounds. but i could see Holyfield pushing Marciano around, much like he manhandled Tyson yet both punch harder than Evander. i miss USA's Tuesday Night Fight's..... ok i'm done.

  6. Manhandling is also a mind tactic as well as physical, timing and knowhow are also critical. I do not believe ALI would allow himself to be manhandled and that he would choose oppurtune times to do his manhandling. This is a good question and of course Dollbaby has an opinion. That shows me just how knowledgeable that WOMAN is. Have U seen any other of her questions outside of boxing.Dollbaby is no joke PEOPLE!
