  1. They were extremely short, so no.

  2. No it is said they looked like today's middle easterners. And some of them have been described as dark skinned like today's blacks. I believe they may have been a mix. of the two cultures according to Greek and Hebrew scrolls of ancient day. the latest  evidence is described the the dead sea scrolls. I do believe these people were very beautiful The bible tells many stories concerning Egyptians. The document I believe will back up what i am telling you here.

  3. No, they looked like modern day Egyptians. There has been no major population  movement in the are since the stone age.

The first people across North Africa were probably Berbers, moving from East to West, then The Semitic peoples. Then there was some movement North up the Nile by the Nubians (who do look like Ethiopians).

Examination of the mummies usually shows a mix of African and Caucasian features. The bulk, but not all, of the descriptions of them by outsiders puts most of them looking like Northern Indians/ Pakistan now. Several of the royal mummies have been placed firmly in the Caucasian category, right down to having fine wavy auburn hair, Ramses II being the best known. Some were even blond. Afrocentrists will show you a lot of pictures of black Egyptians, but most of these are from one era, where the Nubians manged to invade and Rule Egypt. Also, a lot of the pictures they'll show are of Nubian slaves from earlier eras.

Measurements of the skulls and DNA studies have shown no noticeable change in the population over the whole time, just a little movement of DNA Northwards, probably due to the Nubian conquest and imported slaves.

All this 'they were black Africans' is a bit bizarre, since of all the ancient peoples they left some of the most lifelike representations of themselves, you only need to look at the statues and painted busts.

The last link will give you a good idea of how they saw themselves compared to the black slave in between them. They probably didn't give a fig about each others colouring though.

And this is a link to an Afrocentrist video, with some good images of African looking Egyptians.

  4. No. They had dark golden skin and thick black hair, coarse for slaves and silken for royalty (different hair treatment), and they had delicate, but chisled features.

  5. This is a cat, with a very long tail...

At different times, different cultures, and ethnicities inhabited the Nile River valley!

Ancient Egypt, as we know it, lasted in excess of four thousand years, it experienced drastic changes in climate, affecting people to move into it, and out of it, AND, the Nile being arguably the longest river in the world, covers thousands of kilometers!

Towards Sudan, in the south, ancient Egyptians were mostly *******, as were the earliest Pharaohs. Berbers, Arabs, Jews, and Sumerians of all different shades of Caucasoid migrated into Ancient Egypt.

Since their Hieroglyphic/Hieratic language and sculpture involved a lot of picture-drawing, we can at least see a stylized version of their appearance, in colors ranging from brown, to reddish, yellowish, and pale!

  6. I've never heard that...usually the argument is between middle eastern  (arab) looks and sub saharan African... but I believe through DNA, Dr. Hawas Ziri claims they looked the same as they do today... I don't agree with that though...When I actually looked at Rameses' mummy (in person), along with Seti, they clearly looked Habesha (Ethiopian, Eritrean). I believe that immigration into North Africa by Muslim invaders especially beginning in the last 1500 years has changed the bloodlines of Egyptians.

So I would say yes, they did look ethiopian...

ps.-and as for height...Ethiopians aren't any taller than any other modern peoples...

  7. yes And all white ppl look like howdy duty
