you jog at 6.0m/h for 5.0mi, then you jump into a car and drive for another 5.0mi. with what average speed must you drive if your average speed for the entire 10.0 miles is to be 11mi/hr?

Average speed is given by (s1 + s2) / 2. Solve for second speed.

s2 = 2s(avg) - s1 = (2 x 11 mi/hr) - 6.0 mi/hr = 16 mi/hr
