  1. We assume that the force is uniformly applied.  We can equate the kinetic energy acquired, 0.5 x 2 x (12)^2 joules, with the work done, W = 0.5 F.  Since W is 144, F = 288 newtons.

  2. I don't do physics but I think the answer is 2! Im kidding

    I dunno

  3. u use the third kinematic equation

    2as = v^2 - u^2

    2a(0.50) = 12^2 - 0^2

      1a = 144

         a = 144 m/s^2

    therefore the acceleration = 144m/s^2

    since Force= mass*acceleration

                         = 2*144

                         = 288 N

    u get the answer

  4. ok any moving object has a kinetic energy.

    kinectic energy is a form of WORK.The kinetic energy of an object is the extra energy which it possesses due to its motion. It is defined as the work needed to accelerate a body of a given mass from rest to its current velocity. Having gained this energy during its acceleration, the body maintains this kinetic energy unless its speed changes.

    work is defined as force applied on object for a certain distance (just like pulling something, you pull and drag it behind you for some distance, right? there you did work)

    ----------------------------

    formulas:

    Work = force * distance

    Kinetic energy= 0.5 *mass *velocity ^2

    --------------------------------------...

    in this case since the object is moving, theres both kinetic energy of the object and work being done.

    so in this case

    work= kinetic energy

    -----------------------

    given? distance = 0.50m , mass= 2kg

    velocity= 12m/s,

    ------

    unknown? force?

    --------------------------------------...

    work=kinetic energy

    F*d = 0.5 m*v^2

    F= [0.5*m*v^2 ] / (d)

    F= [ 0.5 * (2kg) *( 12m/s)^2 ] / ( 0.5 m)

    F= 288 N

    ------------------------

    by the way, i think you misunderstood me. im not interested in yahoo points, because they bring me no good.

    im interested in helping people like you =D thats all.

    i remember when people helped me and so i want to help others just like how i was helped.

    oh and i sent you 2 emails and added you to my yahoo messenger and msn messenger, but you didnt reply to any of them.

    EDIT:

    SCEINTISTS DERIVED THE KINETIC ENERGY FORMULA FROM THE WORK FORMULA (THIS IS JUST FOR YOU INFORMATION) , IT PROVES THAT KINETIC ENERGY IS EQUAL TO WORK.

    WORK AND ENERGY ARE THE SAME THING, INFACT THEY ARE BOTH MEASURED IN JULES!

    DID YOU UNDERSTAND MY EXPLANATION?

  5. i would say F=MA        12x2= 24 divided by .5 to give force of 12n. idk how you get 288, is 288 in newtons?

  6. 288
