    Equating momentum before and after collision:

    0.040 * 30 = (2.0 + 0.040)u

    u = 0.588 m/s.

    2.

    2.0 * 0.588 = 1.18 kg m/s.

    3.

    0.040 * 30 - 0.040 * 0.588

    = 1.18 kg m/s.
