Starting from rest, a speedboat reaches a speed of 3.2 m/s in 2.0 seconds. What is the speed of the boat after an additional time of 3.0 seconds, assuming the boat's acceleration remains the same?

I think I figured out the first part. I figured out the acceleration is 1.6 m/s^2.

HELP me!! It's my first day in AP Physics and I don't have a textbook yet.

  1. Just take 1.6 m/s^2 and multiply it by 5 seconds (2s + 3s)

    8 m/s

    You're doing well thus far
