I'm trying to determine an estimate of Pi by measuring the circumference and radius of 5 cylinders. I have collected the data and graphed it, I've got my slope of the line with is 6.25. The y-intercept is 0. I'm stuck on what to do now to get my estimate of pi. y=mx+b. C=(6.25)R + (0)...thats where I get to. Any tips, suggestions?

  1. C ≡ πD

    D ≡ 2R

    C ≡ 2πR

    C ≈ (6.25)R

    2π ≈ 6.25
