A satellite of mass 200kg completes a circular orbit of the Earth in 120 minutes. A400 kg satellite is then put into orbit at the same height above the Earth. Which of the following represents the time, in minutes, for the 400kg satellite to complete a circular orbit ?

  2. it doesnt depend on the mass of the object, just the mass of the planet. u could put an apple and a bus in the same orbit, and it would take the exact same time

  3. Are there options? Sounds like a multiple choice question...

  4. Mass has no effect upon orbital velocity, therefore it will take the same amount of time for one orbit, 120 minutes.
