Air is contained in two vessels A and B that are connected to a horizontal tube CD, as shown below. The vertical tube DE is open to the atmosphere at its upper end. Mercury is in the tubes, and the heights of the mercury surface in the various tubes are shown in the diagram. The density of mercury is 13.6 x 10 ^3 kg/m^3.

(a) Please calculate the gauge pressure in the horizontal tube CD

(b) Please calculate the absolute air pressure in vessels A and B
