what would be the value of x and y (x,y) if

a. 45 km southeast??

.. i know the others..like:

a.10 km east

(10,0)

b. 5 km north

(0,5)

c. 45 60degrees north of east

(22.5 , 38.97)

  1. Measure the angle that the vector makes with East (positive counter-clockwisw).  The length of the vector is V

    (x,y) = (Vcos(theta), Vsin(theta))

  2. If it is exactly 45 degrees southeast, then the answer should be:

    x = 45cos(45) = y = 45sin(45) = 23.64

    (23.64, 23.64)
