My goals are to Work on new types of space engines as you can tell from other posts (please refer), I also would like to know as much about this field along the lines of inventing new physics in the engines and designing the engines. Take that out of mind, regardless of that which i just said- what makes more sense for me to do with my college career?

  1. aerospace (astronautical) engineering with a focus on propulsion systems.  Both BS and ME

Minors in materials, chemistry and mathematics would help.  With a good understanding of math (with is really useful in engineering) physics is second nature and not worth the investment of time or money

  2. Don't bother with the physics major, you will get all the physics you need with an engineering major.  Look into aerospace or mechanical engineering for both the bachelors and masters.
