1. A particle at t1 = -2.0s is at x1= 3.4cm and at t2=4.5s is at x2=8.5 cm. what average velocity? Can you calculate its average speed from these data?

  1. v = ∆x / ∆t = (x2 - x1) / (t2 - t1)

    = (0.085 m - 0.034 m) / (4.5 s - (-2.0 s)) = 0.051 m / 6.5 s

    = 7.85 x 10^-3 m/s
