Question:

Physiologically - Do men and women move differently? If so why?

Is it to do with bone/joint structure or is it neurological or hormonally based, or simply psychological.

I've noticed that men tend to generally move less gracefully than women, with larger, fuller movements.

Is there a significant reason for this?

  1. Yes.

Women have larger pelvis bones, and so the hips are situated a bit differently.  Also, the distribution of their weight (you may have noticed) is in different places than where a man's body weight is distributed.  Therefore, they have a different center of gravity as well.

So yeah, different body type, different movement.  It is like cats and dogs, they both have four legs but they sure look different when they move.
