  1. I think thats as fast as you are going to go. The other way is to buy a 72cc bore kit and a racing exhaust. This should see you hitting 70+. I had this done on an Aprilla Rally and was beating 125cc Gileras.

  2. Unless you have a full bike license & are willing to pay silly amounts to derestrict & insure it, forget it.

All mopeds are restricted in the UK & NONE of them will do 60 unless you drop them off a cliff.

  3. Someone posted a video tutorial (very detailed) on how to dereistrict a Yamaha C3.   It may be very similar to how to derestrict the Zip.

  4. The fact that yours is a 4-stroke means that without radical modifications it is realistically never going to be able to compete with a similar spec 2-stroke.

The reason being that 2-strokes combust fuel and air every 2nd stroke while 4-strokes only do it every 4th stroke. Therefore, it is often said that 2-strokes have twice the power of the equivalent 4-stroke.

As it has already been said, the only realistic way you are going to make your Zip go any faster is a big bore kit. Although, maybe getting your hands on a second hand Zip 100cc engine would mean you could fit it in the 50 frame. It has been done before, also on the speedfight 50/100cc conversions and even back in the day with the YB100 engine in the old school 50's.

  5. you have answered the question your self I'm afraid two stroke's are faster than four stroke's sorry about that but the plus side yours will be going when there's are dead that's a plus and cheaper to run no two stroke oil to buy

  6. i had 2 zips both two strokes 1 standard did 40mph boring i no used for spars i had 1 which was rapid i did 67mph on it as a 50 so in real life that's about 63mph the of set the clock so not that accurate the only way you are going to go faster is to get the head tuned loads of power out of a head the gj or jg guy he nos **** tell Ur m8t to get carbofiber race reed about £30 but give it a power band
