Pian in wrists shooting to elbows. How to treat tendinitis?

Extreme pain in both wrists and now has travelled to elbows. Doctor gave heavy pain killers... didnt work. Now trying accupuncture... has not been effective yet. Also, trying Homeopath medicne... in vain so far.
