Piano theory grade one (intermediate rudiments) ?? Information ? Practice papers ?

I haven't started learning it yet, but I'd like a headstart.

What do I have to know for this exam ? ^^

&& could you please send me links to the information to study as well as some practice papers ?

  2. Hey, you can find theory booklets and past papers on amazon, but I get all mine from the Associated Board website, which is http://www.abrsm.org

    You can also try local music shops.

    Grade one consists of things like knowing note names, treble and bass clef, simple rhythms, note values, ie how long each note lasts, 4 key signatures - C major, F Major, G Major and D major, the pattern of the major scale, and composing 2 bar basic rhythms.

    Sounds like a lot but once you get going, its quite logical :)  hope this helps
