Picatinny rail vs. 2 piece mounts for a 300wm rifle?

I'm trying to decide weather to use 2 piece bases or a picatinny rail for my savage 110fp in 300 wm. What do you guys think? I'll be putting a leupold vx III 6.5-20 x 50 scope on it. And i'm going for a "tactical" build. Also suggestions for rings? I have the rifle and the scope is on the way, just need to figure out the base and the rings.

I would go for the picatinny rail as most sniper rifles use one piece mounts. As you said you want that tactical look.

I have a browning a- bolt in 300 wsm with a leupold vx II 3x9x40.  The mounts and rings I use are 2 piece by leupold, the rear one is a twist lock design.  They come in a complete kit for around 55 dollars.  I also like to use lock tight on the screws.
