Pick up truck question?

Question

What would be the best truck to buy if i have about 10,000 to spend and I am looking for a 3L engine. The only trucks I have found so far that meet that category is the Ford Ranger and the Mazda B3000, BTW I would also like either a 3 seater or an extended cab.

Why a 3 Liter? The bigger the truck, the bigger the engine you need to carry the weight of the truck to get correct fuel economy. However, there are older nissan pickups out there like the 1990 models that have 3 liter, and get 30 miles to the gallon.
