There is a very old pinball machine in our backyard. Sometime within the last 20yrs the key was lost. It has lots of change in it but my dad won't call a locksmith.

Any techniques on picking locks is greatly appreciated. =]]

What materials do you use?!?

No stupid answers please. =]]

  1. Since it's more than 20 years old, the lock was probably not very strong to begin with, and 20+ years of aging (and being in your backyard?!) has likely weakened it further.  If you don't care about saving the lock, just drill right through it with an electric drill.

Hope you don't consider that a stupid answer.  Buying another lock to replace the drilled-out one is cheap, and it takes 2 minutes to install yourself.  A lot cheaper than a locksmith!  (But something tells me you're just after the change inside the machine and couldn't care less about replacing the lock...the machine's probably worthless if it's been in your backyard for twenty years!)
