Question:

Picking up trash at the Warped Tour?`?

Last year, I saw a group of kids picking up trash at the Warped Tour. They said that they received free tickets and free backstage passes in return for being on cleanup for the whole day. They also told me that you have to sign up in advance.

Is this true?

If so, does anybody know where I could sign up?

Thanks, in advance.

  1. I have never heard of that? Is that legal??

  2. How cool!

    I wanna do that.

  3. I've seen those kids too, the past two years at Warped.

I would guess you would sign up at the Warped website, or contact the venue and ask about it.

  4. check out the warpertour website and try to volunteer!!

  5. I run the main stage   at the warp'd tour in NJ. They where a great help but I chose not to let them back stage because they where surely pushing the envelope. Actually it was silly for them to be there since workers from the venue where there to clean up? Maybe they got one over on us. At least they got no-where near my stage. Nothing is worse then catching crowd surfers with meatheads scrambling under my feet for trash.

  6. So they were hired for clean-up crew and instead of being paid cash they were given free admittance to the venue??

Sound like they got ripped off.  Most poeple that are hired to pick up garbadge get paid to do so...

  7. An old friend of mine actually has an organization that recruits volunteers to do this. They're based in North Carolina but they handle music events all over the country.  Just fill out an application, they're accepting volunteers for the 2008 season.
