  1. Definitely u can keep things fresh by keepin it chilled, coolers or bowl with ice to place dishes on top of.

Sandwiches or wraps minus condiments keep pretty well, and u can b very creative...pasta or friut salad, sumthin without mayo or eggs.

  2. I made fruit kaboobs at mine:  Skewers with chunks of pineapple, grapes, cantelope and then I made some with strawberries, watermelon and pineapple.  They were a hit.

I also make pigs-in-a-blanket.  Little smokes wrapped in small pieces of pillsbury crecent rolls.  Bake them and toss ina bowl or basket.   Kids like these also with full size hot dogs wrapped in a cresent roll.

  3. Just had an outdoor fish fry for father's day. My friend and I made up some snacks that were a big hit. Asparagus baked in a phyllo dough wrap and Johnsonville breakfast sausage also in the phyllo wrap. The dip was a mayo/hot mustard and Cholula sauce (hot pepper sauce). The recipe for the asparagus can be found on the Food Network site (Paula Deen)

  5. okay, so we used to always think this to ourselves too, but then one of our friends brought a great dish to a picnic, and we bring it to everyone!  it's called Snickers Salad

    what you'll need:

    6 large red apples, unpeeled

6 large Snickers bars (or 1 pkg. bite size Snickers bars)

    1 12 oz. Cool Whip

Cut apples and Snickers bars into bite size pieces. Mix in Cool Whip and enjoy!!

it is very tasty, and goes fast!  everyone loves it.  this would be the perfect dish!    we mix in bananas too, and it's a great touch!

  7. How about some tasty samosas? Pretty easy to make or you could just buy them. Or how about fancy homemade pizza, I make mine on ciabatta sliced length ways, I top it with tomato paste/pesto, mushrooms, red onion, olives, pepper and cheese, they're really good cold. Or my favorite, a vegetable tart, made with bought puff pastry, spread a little chutney or pesto over it, then top with courgette, pepper, onion, squash, mushrooms, olives, asparagus, chickpeas, feta and cheddar, drizzle a little olive oil over before baking. Soo tasty hot or cold. Or a potato salad, I like to add quartered boiled eggs and spring onion to mine. Or a nice bean and pasta salad with olive oil, fresh basil and olives. Hope this helps!

  8. cheese cake will be a hit or bring a refreshing fruit salad, you can create it yourself by adding all your favorite fruits or you can get it made at your local grocery store.
